iwate-ceramic-vase-beige-black
Iwate Ceramic Vase - Beige & Black

Description

The Iwate is a ceramic vase in beige and black, built around an open oval body with a narrow bottle neck rising from the top. A pale, speckled beige covers the neck and shoulders, then gives way to a band of grey and white speckle before settling into a glossy, deep brown-black across the lower body. The open centre means you look straight through the vase, so it reads as a sculpted shape as much as a vessel. It stands 27cm tall, 12cm long and 6cm wide, so it fits on a shelf where a rounder vase would crowd the space.

Because it is only 6cm wide, the Iwate sits comfortably on a narrow mantelpiece, a bookshelf, a windowsill or a bedside table. It also holds its own on a small side table beside an armchair. The narrow neck takes a few slender stems rather than a full bunch, which suits a sparse arrangement of dried grasses, a single artificial branch or a couple of faux flowers. It will please anyone who prefers a quieter, more considered display, and the neutral mix of beige, grey and brown-black sits easily with warm woods, cream walls and black metal.

Our Iwate is made of ceramic and weighs 0.43KG, light enough to lift down from a high shelf with one hand when you want to rearrange a display. The textured, speckled top and the smooth, glossy base catch the light differently, so the vase looks a little different from every angle. It is intended for artificial and dried flowers only, so it should stay dry, with no water and no fresh cut stems. There is no water to change, so once your arrangement is in place it simply stays looking the way you set it.

Specification

Material

Ceramic

Length

12cm

Width

6cm

Height

27cm

Weight

0.43KG

Use

For artificial and dried flowers only

Frequently Asked

Can I put fresh flowers and water in the Iwate vase?

No. The Iwate is intended for artificial and dried flowers only, so keep it dry and fill it with stems that need no water.

How big is the Iwate ceramic vase?

It stands 27cm tall, 12cm long and 6cm wide, a size that suits narrow shelves, windowsills and mantelpieces.

What colours are on the vase?

A speckled beige covers the neck and shoulders, a grey and white speckled band follows, and the lower body is a glossy deep brown-black.

How heavy is the vase?

It weighs 0.43KG, light enough to lift down from a shelf with one hand whenever you want to rearrange a display.

Is the centre of the vase open?

Yes.
