A texture is hammered into the glass all round, so the surface is faceted rather than smooth and the rim is left slightly uneven.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFive and a half centimetres is low enough that a lit tealight sits proud of the rim and the light comes off the top as much as through the sides. Grouped on a tray and lit, the hammering breaks the flame into points across the glass.
