Each tray has a floor of wires radiating out from a hub and a low rim of short uprights set between two hoops, and the trays step down in size towards the top, the largest measuring 31cm across at the bottom. The post finishes in a plain ring, and the bottom tray stands on three small disc feet. The iron is finished in aged brass and reads a warm coppery brown.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt 49cm the stand fits under most wall units and takes 31cm of worktop for three tiers of space, which is what makes it worth having where the counter is short. It holds fruit and vegetables out in the open, and it takes cakes and bakes on display. On a worktop it takes onions, garlic and a squash spread across the tiers.
