Below that the clay is matt cream, flecked all over with dark iron spots.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe mouth is 13cm across, wide enough for a loose armful of stems rather than one or two, and the inside carries a double layer of glaze, which is what makes it safe to fill with water and fresh flowers.
