Each shelf carries a low gallery of horizontal iron bars round it, and the pale wood of the bases reads against the dark iron. Small flat pads sit under the feet.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt 82cm it stands to about the height of a basin, which brings the top shelf to hand without bending. It is 33cm wide and only 23cm deep, so it takes the narrow strip of floor beside a bath, between a basin and a wall, or in the return of a shower recess. In a bathroom it holds a pump bottle, folded flannels, a sponge and a candle, one group to each shelf.
