imke-stoneware-plant-pot-with-saucer-green
Imke Stoneware Plant Pot with Saucer - Green

Description

This is a round stoneware plant pot that comes with its own matching saucer, both finished in a green reactive glaze. The pot has a full, rounded body that narrows to a short foot, and that foot sits neatly in a shallow saucer with a soft, rolled edge. The green is deepest around the rim and fades towards the base, broken by fine speckles and glossy runs where the glaze has pooled. It stands 17.5cm tall and measures 18.5cm across, a comfortable size for a medium houseplant rather than a tiny cutting or a floor-standing palm.

Because it is sized for a table rather than the floor, it suits a windowsill, a bookshelf, a desk or a sideboard, anywhere a single plant deserves a proper home. The saucer is the practical part: a saucer catches stray drips at watering time, keeping the surface beneath it dry, which matters on painted sills and wooden furniture. The pot also works as an outer cover, with a plant left in its plastic nursery pot inside, so you can lift it out to water at the sink. It makes a thoughtful housewarming present for someone who likes plants and a calm, natural look.

The pot and saucer are made entirely from stoneware, a clay fired hard and dense, and at 1.8KG it has a reassuring heft, which helps it stay put when a plant grows top-heavy. A reactive glaze changes as it fires, so the speckling and the way the green breaks will differ from piece to piece, and yours will be its own. Neither piece is dishwasher safe, so wash them by hand. For styling, group it with plants of differing heights, or set it on a tray beside a stack of books and a candle so the glossy green sits against matt textures.

Specification

Height

17.5cm

Diameter

18.5cm

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Green

Finish

Reacticve glaze

Dishwasher safe

No

Microwave safe

No

Oven safe

No

Weight

1.8KG

Frequently Asked

What material are the pot and saucer?

Both the pot and the saucer are 100% stoneware, finished in a green reactive glaze that gives each piece its own speckling and tone.

How big is the pot?

It measures 18.5cm across and 17.5cm tall and weighs 1.8KG, a good size for a medium houseplant on a sill, shelf or table.

Does the saucer come with the pot?

Yes.
