ibo-reclaimed-wood-wall-shelf-natural
Ibo Reclaimed Wood Wall Shelf - Natural

Description

The Ibo is a two-tier wall shelf built from reclaimed wood, 65cm wide, 21cm tall and 20cm deep. The lower shelf is the deeper of the two and has a thick raised board along its front edge. The upper shelf sits further back, with a paler rail running the full width in front of it. Two side pieces stand the full height at the back and sweep down in a curve to the front of the lower shelf. The boards are split, pitted and dark with age, and old nail holes run through several of them.

It is made for a kitchen or a pantry wall: spice jars, small bowls and everyday tins on the lower shelf, cups and lidded jars on the upper one. At 20cm deep it holds a storage jar or a stacked pair of bowls without standing far off the wall, so it will take a run of wall between units or above a worktop where a full cupboard would crowd the room. The 65cm width gives roughly the span of two dinner plates side by side on each tier, and the raised front board stops anything sliding off the lower one.

The wood is reclaimed, taken from the bodies of Indian transport trucks and chosen board by board for grain and weathered surface, then assembled by hand. Because every board has had a working life already, the splits, the nail holes and the depth of the colour differ from one shelf to the next. Fixings are not included.

Specification

Height

21cm

Width

65cm

Depth

20cm

Material

Reclaimed Wood

Colour

Natural

Weight

5.4kg

Downloads

Instruction Manual (PDF)

Frequently Asked

How big is the shelf?

65cm wide, 21cm tall and 20cm deep.

What is the difference between the two shelves?

The lower one is deeper and has a thick raised board along the front. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive materials away from it, stand nothing wet on it directly, and keep it out of strong direct sunlight, which fades the wood.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0729/8993/3835/files/IS1201_01_packshot_hero_5fc784f8-3d0c-407b-801e-eba8e9871f4a.jpg?v=1789719438
