ibo-reclaimed-wood-1-drawer-console-table-natural
Ibo Reclaimed Wood 1 Drawer Console Table - Natural

Description

A console table 90cm wide, 42cm deep and 80cm tall, made from reclaimed wood and left pale. The top is a single thick plank that runs past the legs at both ends. Below it one wide drawer spans most of the width, its front a single board with a small iron pull hanging at each end. The four legs are square sawn with a stretcher rail low down at each side, and the wood keeps its old grain, its splits and the tool marks of its earlier life.

At 80cm the top stands at worktop height rather than table height, so against a hallway wall it takes keys and post without anyone stooping. It is only 42cm deep, which leaves a corridor passable, and 90cm wide, so it fills a short wall without taking it over. The drawer measures 62.25cm across, 37cm front to back and 9cm deep inside, which holds keys, post, stationery and gloves laid flat rather than stacked.

The wood is reclaimed from the trucks that once carried it along Indian roads, chosen for its grain and its weathering and then assembled by hand. Every board is different, so the tone runs from pale straw to grey brown across a single table and no two tables are alike. At 26.5kg it is heavy for its size. The Ibo range also runs to a bedside table and to console tables with three and four drawers.

Specification

Height

80cm

Width

90cm

Depth

42cm

Drawer Width

62.25cm

Drawer Depth

37cm

Drawer Height

9cm

Material

Reclaimed Wood

Colour

Natural

Weight

26.5kg

Frequently Asked

How big is it?

90cm wide, 42cm deep and 80cm tall.

How big is the drawer?

62.25cm across, 37cm front to back and 9cm deep inside.

What is the wood?

Reclaimed wood that was once used on Indian transport trucks.

How heavy is it?

26.5kg.

Will every table look the same?

Not exactly. Wipe it regularly with a soft dry cloth to lift dust and moisture, and use mild soap and water sparingly for anything more, always working along the grain. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasives away from it, stand wet items on a mat or a coaster, and deal with spills at once. Strong direct sunlight will fade the wood, and sharp changes of heat or humidity can make it crack or split.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0729/8993/3835/files/IT3301_01_packshot_hero_0c0e50d9-8a18-4fd3-be38-47dec4520fe1.jpg?v=1790868182
