hurricane-model-plane-ornament-with-stand-21cm-silver
Hurricane Model Plane Ornament with Stand 21cm - Silver

Description

This model Hurricane plane ornament brings the aircraft's familiar outline indoors in polished silver. It sits on a curved stand with its nose tilted gently upwards, as if climbing away into the sky. It stands 12cm tall, 16.5cm wide and 21cm deep, a size that sits comfortably on a desk or shelf without crowding it. The detail is in the shaping: a propeller at the nose, a framed cockpit canopy, a slim aerial behind the cockpit, broad rounded wings and a tall tail fin, all in the same bright silver so the light runs along every curve.

It is made for display, and it suits a study, a home office or a bookcase where a little history and a lot of shine are welcome. Set it on a desk beside a lamp, on a mantelpiece, or on a windowsill where daylight catches the wings. With its own stand and base, the plane needs no wall and no fixings. It simply sits flat wherever you place it, and the raised angle gives it a sense of movement even when it is standing still. It works as well in a traditional room with dark wood and leather as in a pared back modern space, where the polished silver finish adds a bright accent.

Every part, from the propeller to the base, shares the same polished silver finish, so the plane reads as one clean sculpted shape from any side. To keep it bright, dust it now and then with a soft, dry cloth, working gently around the propeller, the aerial and the tail fin. It is an ornament for display rather than play, and it is happiest on a steady surface away from the edge of a busy desk. As a gift it needs little more than tissue and a ribbon, and we think it earns its place on any desk or shelf for years to come.

Specification

Colour

Silver

Height

12cm

Width

16.5cm

Depth

21cm

Weight

0.317kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the Hurricane model plane?

It stands 12cm tall, 16.5cm wide and 21cm deep, so it sits neatly on a desk, shelf or mantelpiece without taking over the space.

Does the plane come with a stand?

Yes.
