hull-outdoor-pendant-light-ip54-satin-nickel
Hull Outdoor Pendant Light IP54 - Satin Nickel

Description

The Hull is a pendant lantern in what the maker calls a fisherman's style, made from solid brass and finished in satin nickel, a soft silver grey with a gentle sheen. A wide, flat hood sits over a rounded shade of clear ribbed glass, and the lantern hangs from a round ceiling cup on an open link chain. The lantern itself is 16cm across and 23cm tall and weighs 1.91KG. Rated IP54, it is protected against dust and against water splashed from any direction, so this brass pendant is built to hang outside through British weather.

The maker suggests it for a porch or an outdoor eating area, and both suit it well. In a porch it lights the doorstep for anyone arriving after dark; over the table where you eat outside it gives a soft pool of light on summer evenings. With no cage or grille around the glass, the ribbed shade stays in full view. The maker says the maritime influence of its range shows in the materials, the designs and even the names, and describes these lanterns as made for outdoor spots that call for an industrial or nautical feel.

The cable enters at the top of the lantern, and the chain sets the drop: at its longest the light hangs 83cm overall including the chain, and shortening the chain brings that down to 40cm, handy under a low porch ceiling. The maker says it comes with 50cm of chain. It takes one E27 (ES) lamp, a large Edison screw cap, and because the glass is clear the lamp shows through the ribs, so choose one you are happy to see. As a mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician. Before ordering, measure from your ceiling to where you want the bottom of the glass, and you will know how much chain to keep.

Specification

Finish

Satin Nickel

Material

Solid Brass

Diffuser

Clear Ribbed Glass

Lamp

1 x E27 (ES)

IP Rating

IP54

Diameter

16cm

Lantern Height

23cm

Max Height Including Chain

83cm

Min Height With Chain Shortened

40cm

Chain Length

50cm

Cable Entry

At the Top

Weight

1.91KG

Supply

230V ~ 50Hz

Protection Class

Class I

Certification

CE

Manufacturer's Warranty

2 Years

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Hull pendant hang outdoors?

Yes.
