hollis-wavy-stoneware-plant-pot-with-saucer-beige
Hollis Wavy Stoneware Plant Pot with Saucer - Beige

Description

Hollis is a stoneware plant pot with a soft, lobed body: deep vertical ridges swell out from a wavy rim and tuck back in towards the base, so it sits on a shelf like a gathered bud. It is 20cm across and 16.5cm tall, a comfortable size for a medium houseplant, and it comes with its own saucer. The glaze is beige, glossy and gently streaked, picking up the light along every ridge, so the pot changes a little as you walk past it.

We would put it where its shape gets noticed: a sunny windowsill, the centre of a dining table, a bookshelf at eye level or a side table beside a reading chair. A trailing plant suits it especially well, because tendrils spilling over that uneven rim soften the ridges, while a neat upright plant lets the full outline show. At 1.524KG it has a good, solid weight in the hand without being awkward to lift, so turning it towards the light every week or so is no chore. It would make a thoughtful housewarming gift for anyone who keeps houseplants, from a first cactus to a crowded windowsill jungle.

Stoneware is fired at a high temperature, which gives it a dense, sturdy body, and here a glossy glaze runs over every curve and up to the scalloped edge of the rim. The saucer is shallow and plain, with fine ringed lines around its side, and it sits snugly under the base so stray drips from watering stay off your furniture. Because each ridge holds the glaze a little differently, the finish looks deeper in some places and lighter in others. For a relaxed group, pair it with plainer pots of different heights and let this one be the most textured piece on the shelf; the styling props shown are not included.

Specification

Height

16.5cm

Diameter

20cm

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Beige

Weight

1.524KG

Frequently Asked

What is the Hollis plant pot made of?

It is made from 100% stoneware, with a glossy beige glaze over its ridged body, and it comes with its own saucer.

How big is the pot?

The pot is 20cm across and 16.5cm tall, a good size for a medium houseplant on a windowsill, shelf or table.

Is the saucer included?

Yes.
