highland-cow-calendar-figurine-with-date-blocks-brown
Highland Cow Calendar Figurine with Date Blocks - Brown

Description

This Highland cow figurine doubles as a desk calendar, with date blocks sitting in a recess in its shaggy back. We love the detail in the moulding: a long fringe falling over the eyes, a coat that hangs in thick waves down to pale hooves, and a pair of curved cream horns. It is cast in resin, sometimes called polystone, and finished in a warm light caramel brown from nose to tail. At 15cm tall, 19cm wide and 7cm deep, it takes up little room on a busy desk yet the date is easy to read at a glance.

Setting the date is simple. A month bar rests on top of two number cubes, so each morning you turn the cubes to the day, and when the month changes you lift out the bar and set the next one in place. The spare bars carry month names on more than one side, ready to swap in. It is a friendly thing to have on a home office desk, a bookshelf in the sitting room or a kitchen dresser, and the Highland cow design brings a touch of the countryside to a country-style room or a plainer modern one.

The resin figurine stands steady on its four hooves, needs no wall fixing, and the blocks lift freely out of the recess in its back. Keep the spare month bars in a drawer nearby or tucked beside it on the shelf. To care for it, dust with a soft dry cloth and use a soft brush to reach into the deep folds of the coat. Set it to the right date before you wrap it, and it makes a thoughtful gift that earns its place on the desk every day of the year.

Specification

Material

Polystone

Colour

Brown

Height

15cm

Width

19cm

Depth

7cm

Weight

0.43kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the Highland cow calendar figurine?

It stands 15cm tall, 19cm wide and 7cm deep, small enough for a desk or shelf while keeping the date easy to read.

What is the figurine made of?

The figurine is made of resin, also known as polystone, with a detailed moulded coat, fringe and horns.

How do I change the date?

Turn the two number cubes to the day each morning, and when the month changes, lift out the month bar and set the next one on top.

What colour is it?

It is a warm light caramel brown all over, with cream horns and pale hooves that pick out the details of the Highland cow.

Does it need to hang on a wall?

No, it is freestanding and stands steady on its four hooves, so it sits on a desk, shelf or dresser with no fixings.

How should I look after it?

Dust it with a soft dry cloth, and use a soft brush to reach into the folds of the coat and around the date blocks.
