hidden-lake-boxed-glass-scented-candle
Hidden Lake Boxed Glass Scented Candle

Description

This scented candle is poured into a blue glass tumbler and comes in its own printed box, so it is ready to give or to keep. It stands 10.7cm tall and 9cm across and holds 285g of soy paraffin wax around a single cotton wick. The maker gives it a burn time of 50 hours. The wax is blue too, so the colour runs right through the candle rather than sitting only on the glass. It weighs 0.45KG.

At 9cm across it suits the places a candle actually lives: a side table in the sitting room, a bedside, a bathroom shelf or the end of a bookshelf. A single wick keeps it a quiet presence rather than a centrepiece. The printed box, with its painterly lid, means it can go straight to a birthday, a housewarming or a thank you without any wrapping. It is an easy choice for someone whose home you do not know well, because the blue glass sits comfortably with most rooms. It is just as at home on a desk or beside the bath for a long soak.

The glass has a soft frosted look on the outside and a translucent foot at the base, a detail that lifts the tumbler slightly off the surface it stands on. The rim is plain and round, and the wax sits a little below it, so the flame is set back inside the glass. The styling props shown are not included. Once the wax has burned down, the tumbler is worth keeping for pencils, make-up brushes or cotton buds. To style it, set it on a small tray with a couple of books and a sprig of greenery, and keep the box to store it between uses.

Specification

Height

10.7cm

Diameter

9cm

Material

Soy Paraffin, Cotton wick, Glass

Colour

Blue

Weight of wax

285g

Burn time

50 hours

Weight

0.45KG

Safety

Warning: H317 - May cause an allergic skin reaction.
