henrike-speckled-glass-tealight-holder-amber
Henrike Speckled Glass Tealight Holder - Amber

Description

This small speckled tealight holder is made of 100% glass in amber, and its surface is anything but plain. Speckles and tiny bubbles are scattered through the glass, and soft dimples are pressed into its rounded sides, so the glass catches the light a little differently as the flame moves. The rim has a gently uneven line, which keeps the piece looking relaxed rather than precise. It stands 9cm tall and measures 7cm across, and at 0.2KG it is light enough to pick up and move with one hand.

At this size it fits places a larger lantern would crowd: a windowsill, a narrow shelf, a mantelpiece or the end of a sideboard among vases and books. On a tray beside taller pieces it adds a low point of light, and on the dining table it gives a soft glow without blocking the view across the table. It is just as much at home outside, on a garden table or a greenhouse bench as the light fades on a summer evening. It suits anyone who wants a relaxed, lived-in home, with pieces chosen as much for their texture as for their shape.

The holder is made entirely of glass, with a rounded body that narrows slightly towards the rim and a thick, flat base. The speckles and bubbles sit within the glass rather than on top of it, so the pattern reads from every side, lit or unlit. Because amber glass tints the light that passes through it, a lit tealight gives a softer glow than it would in uncoloured glass. Set it where the flame can be seen from a sofa or a garden chair, and pair it with matt ceramics or woven baskets so the glass shines against them. The styling props shown are not included.

Specification

Height

9cm

Diameter

7cm

Material

100% Glass

Colour

Amber

Weight

0.2KG

Frequently Asked

What is the tealight holder made of?

It is made of 100% glass in amber, with speckles and tiny bubbles scattered through the glass and soft dimples pressed into its rounded sides.

How big is it?

It stands 9cm tall and measures 7cm across, a compact size for a windowsill, a narrow shelf, a mantelpiece or the end of a sideboard.

What candle does it take?

It is made as a tealight holder, so it is designed to hold a tealight.
