hedgehog-candle-with-spotted-mushroom-9-5cm-brown-and-orange
Hedgehog Candle with Spotted Mushroom 9.5cm - Brown & Orange

Description

This little hedgehog candle peeks out from a spotted mushroom cap, its front paws resting over the rim as if it has just climbed in for a nap. The hedgehog is finished in warm brown, with finely textured spines along its back, a gentle smile, bright little eyes and a glossy black nose, while the mushroom is a rich orange dotted with round white spots. The wick rises from the top of the hedgehog's head. It stands 9.5cm tall, 8.5cm wide and 8.2cm deep, a small, characterful piece we love for how neatly it sits in the palm of your hand.

Because it is so compact, it finds a place almost anywhere: a mantelpiece, a windowsill, a bookshelf or the centre of a dining table. The brown and orange tones sit happily alongside natural wood, greenery, pine cones and other woodland pieces, and the hedgehog and mushroom design brings a cheerful, storybook feel to a hallway table or a kitchen shelf. It is just as charming left unlit as a little ornament, keeping every detail of the spines and the spotted cap intact, and it looks especially sweet grouped with a few small woodland animals of your own.

When you do light it, trim the wick before each use and stand the candle on a flat, stable, heatproof surface, away from draughts, curtains and anything that could catch. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it out of reach of children and pets. Between uses, dust it gently with a soft dry cloth to keep the textured spines and white spots looking crisp. It makes a sweet small gift tucked into a hamper, or set it on a tray with a sprig of foliage and a few tea lights for a cosy corner.

Specification

Colour

Brown & Orange

Height

9.5cm

Width

8.5cm

Depth

8.2cm

Weight

0.144kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the hedgehog candle?

It stands 9.5cm tall, 8.5cm wide and 8.2cm deep, so it is a small piece that fits easily on a windowsill, shelf or mantelpiece.

What colours is the hedgehog candle?

The hedgehog is warm brown with a black nose, and it sits in an orange mushroom cap decorated with round white spots.

Where is the wick on this candle?

The wick rises from the top of the hedgehog's head, so the flame sits above the textured spines and the spotted mushroom cap.

Can I use it as a decoration without lighting it?

Yes, it works well unlit as a little ornament on a mantelpiece or bookshelf, and that way it keeps all the detail of its spines and spots.

How should I burn and look after the candle?

Trim the wick and stand it on a flat, stable, heatproof surface away from draughts.
