hawthorn-artificial-branch-yellow
Hawthorn Artificial Branch - Yellow

Description

This artificial hawthorn branch is a single slender stem, 84cm tall and 22cm across, that divides into side shoots carrying clusters of small round yellow berries and fine pointed leaves. Near the base the stem is bare, so it slides cleanly into a vase and the berried top sits well clear of the rim. It is made from 90% polyethylene and 10% iron and weighs only 0.04KG. Being artificial, it needs no water and will not wilt, so the berries look the same in March as they do in October.

At 84cm, it is a branch for a tall vase rather than a small posy jar: a floor vase in a hallway, a stoneware vase on a sideboard or a wide urn on a dining table. On its own it gives a light, airy line with a soft touch of yellow, which suits a pared-back living room or a bedroom shelf. Tucked into a larger arrangement of faux flowers and greenery, it adds height and loose movement around the edges of the bunch. Because it needs no water, it also suits spots where fresh stems would struggle, such as a guest room used only now and then or a high shelf that is awkward to reach with a watering can.

The branch is 90% polyethylene, a light and hard-wearing plastic that does not rot, with iron making up the other 10%. Each berry carries a tiny crown of sepals at its tip, much as a real hawthorn berry does, and the stem has a knobbly, bark-like texture along its length, so the branch looks natural even at close range. For a fuller display, gather several branches in one wide-necked vase, or set a single stem beside dried grasses and seed heads so the yellow berries catch the eye.

Specification

Height

84cm

Diameter

22cm

Material

90% Polyethylene, 10% Iron

Colour

Yellow

Weight

0.04KG

Frequently Asked

What is the hawthorn branch made of?

It is made from 90% polyethylene and 10% iron, so it is an artificial branch rather than a fresh or dried one.

How tall is the branch?

It stands 84cm tall and spreads 22cm across, so it suits a tall vase or a floor vase rather than a small posy jar.

Does it come with a vase?

No, you receive the single branch on its own.
