harry-potter-wingardium-leviosa-starry-spell-plaque-black
Harry Potter Wingardium Leviosa Starry Spell Plaque - Black

Description

This black spell plaque carries the words "Wingardium Leviosa" in tall, pale gold capitals, with the line "to levitate an object" set beneath in smaller white lettering. Tiny white stars are scattered across the black face, as if the charm has only just been cast, and a raised gold border frames it all, stepping in at each end with notched, curved corners in the manner of an old shop sign. It measures 14.8cm across and 5.4cm high, and it is 1.5cm deep, so this is a small, neat piece rather than a large panel. A metallic effect finish gives it a gentle sheen under a lamp.

Its size suits the smaller spots around a home: propped at the back of a bookshelf, on the corner of a desk, on a bedside table or along a windowsill in a study or bedroom. At only 5.4cm high it can rest in front of a row of books without covering much of the spines, and the black and gold reads clearly against pale wood, white paint or darker shelving alike. The words are the well-known levitation charm, complete with its meaning, so the plaque brings a playful, bookish note to a reading corner or a shelf of much-loved novels.

The stepped gold border gives the plaque a crisp outline and a little depth at the edges, and the lettering and stars stand out sharply against the black. Care is simple: dust it now and then with a soft dry cloth, and keep it away from water and harsh cleaners so the metallic effect finish keeps its sheen. Because the plaque is small and flat, it is easy to wrap, and it makes a charming little present on its own or tucked in beside a favourite book. We like it at eye level on a shelf, where it is noticed every day.

Specification

Colour

Black

Finish

Metallic

Size

14.8 x 5.4cm

Depth

1.5cm

Weight

0.034kg

Design

Wingardium Leviosa

Frequently Asked

How big is the Wingardium Leviosa plaque?

It measures 14.8cm across and 5.4cm high on its face, and it is 1.5cm deep, so it is a small piece that fits easily on a shelf or desk.

What colours is the plaque?

The face is black with tiny white stars.
