harry-potter-set-of-4-hanging-house-crest-plaques-on-ribbons
Harry Potter Set of 4 Hanging House Crest Plaques on Ribbons

Description

This set of four hanging house crest plaques brings all four Harry Potter houses together, each shield drawn in a soft watercolour style with a hand-painted finish. Gryffindor shows a golden lion rearing up on coral red, Slytherin a coiled green serpent on deep teal, Ravenclaw a bird with outspread wings on sky blue, and Hufflepuff a bounding badger on sunny yellow. Each crest sits inside a gold-edged shield above a pale yellow scroll carrying the house name in capitals. The plaques measure 14.5cm across and 1cm deep, large enough to read across a room without crowding a wall.

Every plaque hangs from its own ribbon loop in a matching colour: red for Gryffindor, teal for Slytherin, pale blue for Ravenclaw and mustard for Hufflepuff. Hung in a row along a hallway, on the back of a bedroom door or from the side of a bookcase, they make a bright, cheerful line of colour. Keep all four together as a full set, or give pride of place to one house and hang the rest nearby. A hook, a peg or a small nail is all a ribbon loop needs, so they are easy to move from room to room whenever you fancy a change.

At 1cm deep, the plaques sit close to the wall, and the fine black linework picks out the lion's mane, the serpent's scales, the bird's feathers and the badger's stripes against the softly washed colour. To keep that colour fresh, dust them now and then with a soft dry cloth and hang them away from strong direct sunlight. As a gift, they suit anyone who has ever settled the question of which house they belong in, and on your own walls we like them spaced a hand's width apart for a neat, even row.

Specification

Colour

Multicoloured

Finish

Handpainted

Width

14.5cm

Depth

1cm

Weight

0.064kg

Frequently Asked

How big are the house plaques?

The plaques measure 14.5cm across and 1cm deep, a neat size that hangs comfortably on a door, a wall or the side of a bookcase.

How do the plaques hang?

Each plaque has its own ribbon loop in a matching house colour, so a hook, a peg or a small nail is all you need to hang it.

Which houses are included?

All four houses are there: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, each with its name printed in capitals on a yellow scroll beneath the crest.

What colours are the plaques?

They are multicoloured: coral red for Gryffindor, deep teal for Slytherin, sky blue for Ravenclaw and sunny yellow for Hufflepuff, each in a gold-edged shield.

How should I look after the plaques?

Dust them now and then with a soft dry cloth, and hang them away from strong direct sunlight to help keep the watercolour artwork bright.

Do the plaques make a good gift?

We think so.
