harry-potter-gryffindor-lion-3d-resin-candle-holder-gold
Harry Potter Gryffindor Lion 3D Resin Candle Holder - Gold

Description

This Gryffindor lion candle holder brings the house emblem from Harry Potter to your shelf in a warm gold finish. Made in resin, the lion sits up on its haunches with its forepaws raised, its mane falling in deep, flowing locks and its mouth open in a roar. On its head rests a fluted candle cup set on a beaded collar, so the lion seems to hold the flame aloft. The round, flared base carries a ribbon scroll lettered Gryffindor in black, framed by two curling flourishes, and a raised crest decorates the back, so the piece looks finished from every side. It stands 20cm tall and 8.5cm across, a slim size that fits easily on a narrow ledge.

We like it on a mantelpiece, on a bookshelf among well-loved paperbacks or on a desk in a study, where the gold picks up the glow of the candle through the evening. It suits a reading nook, a bedroom dressing table or a dining table set for a themed supper, and because the base is round and flat it stands on its own. For anyone whose heart belongs to the house of the lion, it makes a thoughtful gift, and it holds its own as a decorative figure even on the nights the candle stays unlit.

The resin body is finished all over in gold, with darker shading in the folds of the mane and the fluting of the cup that brings out the detail. To keep it looking its best, dust it with a soft dry cloth and wipe away any marks with a damp cloth. As with any candle, stand it on a steady, level surface away from draughts, curtains and anything that could catch, and never leave a burning candle unattended. A deep red candle picks up the colours of the house, while a plain ivory one lets the gold do the talking.

Specification

Material

Resin

Colour

Gold

Height

20cm

Width

8.5cm

Depth

8.5cm

Weight

0.25kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the Gryffindor lion candle holder?

It stands 20cm tall and measures 8.5cm across and 8.5cm deep, so it fits on a mantelpiece, shelf or desk without taking up much room.

What is the candle holder made of?

It is made of resin with a gold finish all over, shaded darker in the recesses so the lion's mane and the fluted candle cup show their detail.

What decoration is on the base?

The front of the base carries a ribbon scroll lettered Gryffindor between two curling flourishes, and a raised crest decorates the back of the base.

How should I clean it?

Dust it regularly with a soft dry cloth and wipe away any marks with a damp cloth, avoiding harsh cleaners that could dull the gold finish.

Where should I put it when the candle is lit?

Stand it on a steady, level surface away from draughts, curtains and anything that could catch, and never leave a burning candle unattended.

Does it make a good gift?

Yes, the roaring gold lion makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves the house of the lion, and it looks good as a decorative figure even unlit.
