harrow-plain-polyester-throw-charcoal
Harrow Plain Polyester Throw - Charcoal

Description

The Harrow throw is a plain flannel fleece in charcoal, made from 100% polyester and measuring 140 x 180cm. There is no pattern here and none is wanted: the whole point is the pile. Flannel fleece is a short, dense, brushed surface, and in the close-up photograph you can see how evenly it lies, catching the light as a soft, matt grey with no shine and no weave showing through. It is a single-sized throw rather than a range of sizes, so what you see is what arrives.

At 140 x 180cm this is a generous single-person throw. It will cover a person full length on a sofa or an armchair with room to tuck in at the feet, and it drapes over the back or arm of a two-seater without swamping it. Thrown across the foot of a double bed it sits as a runner rather than a full cover. The charcoal reads as a mid-to-dark neutral grey, so it settles happily against most upholstery and bedding without needing to be matched exactly, which is why a plain throw in this tone earns its keep in a living room or bedroom that already has a lot going on.

Polyester fleece is the reason this throw is light in the hand for its size and warm out of proportion to its weight, and it is why it holds its colour and its surface through repeated use. The pile does trap dust and pet hair, so a throw like this suits a home that will shake it out and wash it often rather than one that wants a fabric it can ignore. As the record gives no care instructions we have not printed a care row; check the sewn-in label before the first wash. Kept plain and dark, it works as a base layer under a patterned cushion or a chunkier knit.

Specification

Material

100% polyester

Design

Plain flannel fleece

Size

140 x 180cm

Sold as

Single throw

Frequently Asked

How big is this throw and who is it for?

It measures 140 x 180cm, which is a good single-person size that covers one adult full length on a sofa or drapes over an armchair.

What is flannel fleece and how does it feel?

Flannel fleece is a short, dense, brushed polyester pile that feels soft and smooth to the touch, and it is light to hold while still feeling warm.

Is the throw the same on both sides?

The record does not state whether the reverse is finished the same way, so we would not want to promise it; the photographs show the brushed pile face.

Will charcoal go with my existing furniture?

Charcoal is a mid-to-dark neutral grey, so it tends to sit well against most upholstery and bedding colours without needing to be matched exactly.

Does the pile pick up dust and pet hair?

A brushed fleece surface does tend to hold onto dust and hair, so it suits a home happy to shake it out and wash it regularly.
