hand-painted-gypsy-camp-scene-resin-figurine-with-caravan-brown
Hand Painted Gypsy Camp Scene Resin Figurine with Caravan - Brown

Description

This hand painted resin figurine sets a travelling camp on one oval base, with a bow-top caravan, a grazing horse and a family gathered round the cooking fire. The arched cover is a pale blue-white with ribbed folds, little red curtains frame the doorway, and a ladder leans up to it from the ground. The caravan rides on red spoked wheels, while the brown and white patched horse lowers its head to the grass in front. By the fire an older man sits on a stool stirring the pot with a young girl hugging him from behind, a man in a flat cap stands holding a cup, a woman carries a basket and a girl kneels beside a bowl. The whole scene is about 33cm wide and 20cm tall, set on a glossy dark brown base.

At 33cm wide it has the presence to stand on its own on a sideboard, a mantelpiece or in a display cabinet, and the detail rewards a closer look, so it is happiest at eye level where people pass. It suits a traditional living room, a study or a hallway console. With so much to take in, from the pot over the fire to the tree stump at the edge of the camp, it is the kind of ornament that starts a conversation and gives the eye something new to find each time.

The scene is cast in polyresin, which holds fine detail such as the folds of the cover and the spokes of the wheels, and it is painted by hand throughout. Dust it with a soft dry brush or cloth, working gently around the figures, and keep it away from water so the paintwork stays fresh. Turn it so the family by the fire faces the room, and it makes a thoughtful gift with a story in every corner.

Specification

Material

Polyresin

Colour

Brown

Finish

Handpainted

Height

20cm

Width

33cm

Depth

8cm

Weight

4.064kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the caravan scene figurine?

The scene measures about 33cm wide and 20cm tall, so give it a clear spot on a sideboard, mantelpiece or display cabinet where it can be seen.

What is the figurine made of?

It is made of polyresin, which holds fine detail well, and every part of the scene, from the horse to the caravan cover, is painted by hand.

What does the scene show?

A bow-top caravan with red spoked wheels and a ladder at the door, a brown and white horse grazing, and five figures gathered round a cooking pot over a fire.

Does it need fixing to anything?

No, it stands freely on its own oval base, so it sits happily on any flat, steady surface such as a sideboard or the top of a cabinet.

What colour is the figurine?

It is mainly brown, from the glossy base to the caravan's woodwork, with a pale blue-white cover, red wheels and curtains, and softly painted figures.

How do I keep it clean?

Dust it gently with a soft dry brush or cloth, taking care around the small figures and the ladder, and keep it away from water to protect the hand painted finish.
