haloled-g9-4w-bulb-13mm-4000k-450lm-clear
G9 Capsule LED Bulb 4W 4000K - Clear

Description

Small, clear and easy to hide, this capsule LED takes the place of an older halogen pin lamp without changing the look of the fitting it sits in. It draws 4W and returns 450 lumens, which is a useful amount of light from something barely longer than a thumbnail. The colour is cool white: a neutral, daylight-leaning light that keeps whites looking white and edges looking sharp. Light comes off it all round rather than in one direction, so it fills a shade evenly. It is not dimmable, so pair it with a plain on-off switch.

G9 lamps of this sort belong in wall lights, small pendants, multi-arm ceiling fittings and cabinet lights, anywhere the lamp sits close to the shade and has to stay out of sight. We would choose cool white for kitchens, utility rooms and home offices, where warmer light can read as sleepy. In a multi-lamp fitting it pays to change the whole set at once so the colour stays even across the arms. It suits anyone still buying halogen capsules and tired of replacing them.

The clear finish and slim 13mm body mean nothing bulks out inside a narrow shade, and the pins push straight into a standard G9 holder. Care is simple: turn the power off, let it go cool, then hold the base rather than the body and wipe dust away with a dry cloth. No cleaner is needed and none should be used. It carries a three year warranty. We keep it as a straight swap for tired halogen pins, and it is the one we reach for in fittings where the capsule is on show.

kept_out

Specification

Colour

Clear

Weight

0.01KG

Diameter

13mm

Height

60mm

Materials Used

Glass, Metal

Lamp Cap

G9

Colour Temperature

4000K Cool White (±5%)

Number of Switching Cycles

100000

Conventional Lamp Equiv.

39W (±5%)

Shape of Lamp

Capsule G9

Type of LED

COB

Beam Angle

360°

System Flux

450lm (±5%)

CRI

=80

Ta

-20° to +40°C

Total Power Consumption

4W (±5%)

Input Voltage

220-240V~50/60Hz

Dimmable

No

Average Life

25000hrs

Warranty

3yrs

UKCA/CE

Yes

Country of Origin

China

Frequently Asked

How big is it?

The body measures 13mm across and 60mm tall, so it fits the narrow holders and small shades that G9 fittings usually have.

What sort of light does it give?

4000K cool white, rated at 450lm, with output spread all round rather than thrown forward as a beam.

Can I put it on a dimmer?

No. This one is non-dimmable and should be run from a standard on-off switch or a smart switch that does not dim.

How long should it last?

It is rated at 25,000 hours of average life and carries a three year warranty.

Will it be as bright as the halogen capsule I am replacing?

At 4W it gives 450lm, which is comparable to a small halogen capsule while using a fraction of the power.
