A short cone rises from the flat top where a twisted black fabric flex enters. The metal is a cool pale silver with a soft satin sheen, so the cut of the knurl catches the light while the turned bands stay smooth. There is no shade and no shade ring, so whatever lamp is fitted is the whole of what is seen.
