hagony-candle-holder-wood
Hagony Candle Holder - Wood

Description

The Hagony is a long, low candle holder for four pillar candles. It is built around a rectangular wooden tray with a natural wood finish. Four round, silver-coloured plates sit in a straight line along its length, each raised on a short stem so the candles stand clear of the tray floor. It measures 41cm long, 15cm wide and 12cm high, and weighs 1.13KG, which gives it a settled, solid feel on a table without making it awkward to move. We like it as an easy centrepiece that looks considered with very little effort.

Its narrow 15cm width is the figure that matters most. It fits down the centre of a dining table, along a mantelpiece, a sideboard or a deep windowsill, leaving room for plates and glasses either side. Four candles in a row also make it a natural choice for an Advent arrangement, lit one week at a time. The pale wood and silver-coloured plates sit happily in both rustic and modern rooms. The open tray gives you space to dress it with moss, pine cones, dried flowers or baubles between the stems. As a piece of decor it belongs indoors.

The tray is a simple open box with low sides, and the grain runs clearly along its length, with knots and darker streaks adding character. Wood is a natural material, so the grain and colouring differ from piece to piece and no two trays look quite alike. The plates have a textured, slightly uneven edge that catches the candlelight, and each has a shallow raised rim to hold the base of a candle. Wood is happiest kept dry, so a soft, dry cloth is all it needs to keep the tray looking right, and the long, flat base sits steadily on any level surface.

Specification

Length

41cm

Width

15cm

Height

12cm

Weight

1.13KG

Frequently Asked

How many candles does the Hagony hold?

It holds four pillar candles, each standing on its own round, silver-coloured plate raised on a short stem along the length of the wooden tray.

How big is the Hagony candle holder?

It is 41cm long, 15cm wide and 12cm high, and weighs 1.13KG, so it suits a dining table, mantelpiece or sideboard without crowding it.

Can the candle holder be used outdoors?

We suggest keeping it indoors.
