guxim-stoneware-plant-pot-brown
Guxim Stoneware Plant Pot - Brown

Description

Our Guxim plant pot has a face. It is made entirely of stoneware in brown, with a long tapering nose standing proud on the front, blocky ears at either side and a pair of round beads under each ear that hang like earrings. The whole head sits on a ribbed foot of stacked rings, and the surface is finely speckled, which keeps the brown lively rather than flat. It measures 20.5cm long, 20.5cm wide and 22.5cm tall, a medium size that suits a single houseplant, and at 1.47KG it feels solid in the hand.

A pot with this much character works best where its face is in full view. A windowsill is the natural home for it, with a green plant growing out of the top like a head of hair, and it sits just as happily on a shelf among books, vases and candlesticks, or on a side table beside a reading chair in the living room. Choose a plant with upright or gently spreading leaves, such as a small palm, a succulent or a trailing string of pearls, and the face does the rest. It suits anyone who likes their houseplants with a bit of personality, and it makes a cheerful housewarming gift for a friend with a new flat and a bare sill.

The pot is 100% stoneware from rim to foot, nose, ears and beads included. Stoneware is fired at high temperatures, which makes it dense and hard-wearing, and the speckled surface gives the brown a natural, earthy look that sits well beside green leaves. The ribbed foot lifts the face a little, so the features read clearly even towards the back of a deep shelf. For a playful display, set it beside plain, smooth vases and let it be the one with an expression.

Specification

Width

20.5cm

Length

20.5cm

Height

22.5cm

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Brown

Weight

1.47KG

Frequently Asked

What is the plant pot made of?

It is made of 100% stoneware throughout, including the raised nose, the ears and the round beads at each side.

How big is it?

It measures 20.5cm long, 20.5cm wide and 22.5cm tall, a medium size that suits a single houseplant on a sill or shelf.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 1.47KG, so it has a reassuring weight and feels solid and substantial whenever it is lifted or moved.

What colour is it?

It is brown, with a fine speckle across the whole surface that keeps the colour from looking flat or plain.

Which plants suit it best?

A plant with upright or gently spreading leaves works well, such as a small palm or a succulent, growing out of the top like hair.

What is included?

You receive one stoneware plant pot with its sculpted face; the plants and the other styling props shown are not included.
