grid-textured-round-ceramic-table-lamp-39cm-gold-and-black
Grid Textured Round Ceramic Table Lamp 39cm - Gold & Black

Description

This table lamp pairs a rounded gold base with a black shade, a simple two-colour look that suits a modern room or a more traditional one. The base is covered in a fine grid texture, a close pattern of tiny squares across its shiny gold surface, so it catches the light and still looks good during the day when the lamp is off. Above it sits a tapered black shade with a gold lining inside, which you glimpse beneath the rim. Made from ceramic and plastic, it stands 39cm tall and measures 24cm wide and 24cm deep, a compact size that sits comfortably on most side tables.

At this size it suits a bedside table, a sideboard, a hallway console or the corner of a desk in a study. The gold and black colouring sits well with dark walls, warm wood and brass, and it brings a little richness to a calm scheme of whites and greys. It is a lamp for dry rooms indoors, and it comes fitted with a UK plug for 240V mains, so it simply plugs into an ordinary wall socket wherever you set it down.

The lamp takes a bulb with an E27 screw cap, the common large screw fitting, so choosing one is straightforward. To keep the shiny gold finish bright, dust the base with a soft dry cloth, and for marks wipe it gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away. Always switch off and unplug the lamp, and let the bulb cool, before you clean it. The shade only needs a light dust with a soft dry cloth now and then. We like it on a dark wood surface with a few books or a small plant beside it, where the gold base picks up the light from the rest of the room.

Specification

Material

Ceramic, Plastic

Colour

Gold & Black

Finish

Shiny

Height

39cm

Width

24cm

Depth

24cm

Weight

1.1kg

Power

UK Plug 240V

Wattage

250W

Bulb Included

No

Frequently Asked

How big is this table lamp?

It stands 39cm tall and measures 24cm wide and 24cm deep, a compact size for a bedside table, sideboard or desk.

What bulb does the lamp take?

It takes a bulb with an E27 screw cap, the common large screw fitting used on many household bulbs.

What is the lamp made from?

The lamp is made from ceramic and plastic, with a grid textured gold base in a shiny finish and a black shade.

Can I use this lamp in a bathroom?

No, this is a lamp for dry rooms indoors, such as a living room, bedroom, hallway or study, and not for a bathroom or anywhere damp.

What plug does it have?

It comes fitted with a UK plug for 240V mains, so it plugs straight into an ordinary wall socket at home.

How do I clean the lamp?

Switch it off, unplug it and let the bulb cool, then dust the base and shade with a soft dry cloth; a slightly damp cloth lifts marks from the base.
