grand-tiller-outdoor-wall-lantern-ip64-antique-brass
Grand Tiller Outdoor Wall Lantern IP64 - Antique Brass

Description

The Grand Tiller is a caged wall lantern of solid brass in an antique brass finish, a dark, aged tone with brighter brass showing on the rims. A bell-shaped hood sits over a clear ribbed glass shade, and a sturdy brass cage wraps the glass. It is 16cm wide and 29cm tall, and it stands 22cm from the wall on a short bracket arm, which gives it real presence beside a door. The IP64 rating settles the outdoor question: it is dust-tight and protected from splashing water, so it lives outdoors in British weather all year round.

The maker suggests it for either side of a doorway or gateway, and a pair framing a front door or a garden gate is where it looks its best. It also suits a porch, a garden wall or the side of a boathouse. The look is maritime with an industrial edge: the maker says these wall lights were designed for outdoor spots where an industrial or nautical effect is wanted, and that the maritime influence shows in the range's materials, designs and names. The maker describes them as rugged and yet discreet, and the dark finish does sit quietly against brick or stone.

The maker describes the finish as aged and original-looking, and solid brass darkens and mellows outdoors, so time only adds to that character. The maker says brass dome head nuts lock the lantern onto its weatherproof backing plate, and the cable enters at the rear through the round wall plate, which measures 9.5cm, so nothing runs across the face of your wall. At 2.6KG it is a substantial lantern. It takes one E27 (ES) lamp behind the ribbed glass diffuser. As a mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician. Check the space beside your door: standing 22cm from the wall, it needs a little clearance where a door swings open.

Specification

Finish

Antique Brass

Material

Solid Brass

Diffuser

Clear Ribbed Glass

Lamp

1 x E27 (ES)

IP Rating

IP64

Width

16cm

Height

29cm

Projection

22cm

Wall Plate

9.5cm

Cable Entry

At the Rear

Weight

2.6KG

Supply

230V ~ 50Hz

Protection Class

Class I

Certification

CE

Manufacturer's Warranty

2 Years

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Grand Tiller stay outside all year?

Yes.
