gosmelle-led-downlight-21cm-warm-white-ip44-white
Gosmelle LED Downlight 21cm Warm White IP44 - White

Description

The Gosmelle LED downlight is a slim, round ceiling light in white, 21cm across and only 2.8cm deep, so it sits close to the ceiling and suits rooms where a hanging pendant would feel in the way. The body is white steel, and a white plastic diffuser covers the whole face of the disc. The light source is integrated LED, drawing 17W and giving 2,000 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, a comfortable, homely tone rather than a cool, clinical one. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water, so it is not limited to dry rooms.

We see it as a hardworking light for the practical rooms of a home: a kitchen, a utility room, a hallway, a landing or a cloakroom by the coat hooks. Thanks to the IP44 rating it can also go into a bathroom, where a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. 2,000 lumens is a generous output for one ceiling light, and the low profile keeps a low ceiling feeling open rather than crowded. The plain white finish blends into a white ceiling, so the room gets good light while the fitting itself stays quiet.

The LEDs are integrated, so there is no separate bulb to buy or fit. It is not dimmable and has no switch of its own: it runs from your wall switch, so pair it with a standard switch rather than a dimmer. It works on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains supply and has an energy class of F. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. Packed, it weighs 0.513KG, and once fitted, a flick of the wall switch is all it needs.

Specification

Height

2.8cm

Diameter

21cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

White

Shade Material

Plastic

Shade Colour

White

Light Source

LED, integrated

Wattage

17W

Lumens

2,000lm

Colour Temperature

3000K

Dimmable

No

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP44

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Energy Class

F

Weight (packed)

0.513KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Gosmelle downlight go in a bathroom?

Yes.
