girbena-table-lamp-brushed-brass-gold
Girbena Table Lamp - Brushed Brass & Gold

Description

The Girbena table lamp pairs a rounded white shade of matt opal glass with a short cylindrical base in a brushed brass and gold finish. It stands 18cm tall and 14.5cm across at its widest, on a base 9cm across, so it is compact enough for a narrow shelf or a bedside table. The shade is open at the top and takes a standard E27 bulb of up to 40W. The bulb is not included, which leaves you free to choose the colour of light you prefer. It is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in a dry room.

We think it works best wherever you want a soft glow rather than a bright working light. Opal glass spreads light evenly, so the whole shade glows instead of throwing a hard beam. On a hallway console it gives a welcoming light as you come through the door, and because it is small, a matching pair at either end of a sideboard looks balanced without crowding the surface. It suits a bedside, a dressing table or a living room shelf just as well, where the warm metal base sits comfortably beside pale wood or darker furniture.

The body is steel with a brushed brass and gold finish, which has a soft sheen rather than a mirror shine and keeps the base looking warm. The cord switch means you can turn it on and off without fumbling under the shade. It weighs 0.864KG packed, and the installation instructions are available as a download. Fit a warm white E27 bulb of 40W or less and you will have a gentle, even glow whenever the lamp is lit.

Specification

Height

18cm

Diameter

14.5cm

Base Diameter

9cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Brushed brass, gold

Shade Material

Matte-opal glass

Shade Colour

White

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 40W

Switch

Cord switch

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

0.864KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can I use the Girbena table lamp in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is made for dry indoor rooms only, so keep it away from bathrooms and anywhere outdoors.

What bulb does the lamp take?

It takes an E27 bulb with a maximum of 40W.
