ginvenne-fabric-pendant-light-black-cream
Ginvenne Fabric Pendant Light - Black & Cream

Description

The Ginvenne is a ceiling pendant with a wide, saucer-shaped shade of cream fabric cord, wound in tight, even rows and hung from a black steel canopy and lampholder on a slim black cord. The shade is 38cm across and the whole light is 110cm tall overall, so it has real presence over a table or in the middle of a room. It takes a single E27 bulb, the familiar large screw fitting, and the bulb is not included, which leaves the choice of warmth and brightness entirely with you. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms.

The opening at the base of the shade lets light fall towards a coffee table, a dining table or a kitchen island, while the open band of cord around the rim keeps the shade looking light and airy. The cream cord and black steel sit happily alongside natural wood, linen and pale walls, so it suits a living room, a dining room or a bedroom with a calm, relaxed feel. Hung in a pair or a row over a longer table, the wide shades make a neat, even line.

The body is black steel, and at 0.93KG the whole light is a modest weight for a ceiling to carry. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and has no switch of its own: it is switched at the wall, from the light switch in the room. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Because the bulb is yours to choose, a warm white E27 bulb gives a gentle glow in a living room or bedroom, while a brighter one suits a dining table where you want to see clearly.

Specification

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black

Shade Material

Fabric

Shade Colour

Cream

IP Rating

IP20

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Overall Height

110cm

Diameter

38cm

Weight

0.93KG

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Operating Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can this pendant go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means indoors and dry rooms only, so we would keep it out of bathrooms and away from any outdoor space.

Does it come with a bulb?

The bulb is not included.
