The tops sit in a thin cast frame, and the glass is clear, so the legs and the floor read straight through it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe larger table stands 54cm tall and 42cm square, and the smaller one slides underneath it, so nested the pair take the footprint of one. Pulled apart they stand at two heights, one at the arm of a sofa and the other lower and forward of it. Two tables are supplied and together they weigh 12.87kg.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe frames are sand cast: molten aluminium is poured into a sand mould and then hammered by hand, which is where the texture and the small irregularities come from, and the antique brass is a patina worked over that. The tops are toughened glass. Because each frame is cast and hammered on its own, no two carry the same marks.
