fruits-striped-polyester-table-runner-yellow
Fruits Striped Polyester Table Runner - Yellow

Description

This is a woven polyester table runner printed with a citrus design of oranges scattered across a soft yellow stripe. The stripes run the length of the runner in warm yellow against a cream ground, with the fruit painted in orange and gold and the leaves in green. It comes in two lengths, 180cm and 220cm, both 35cm wide, so you can match the runner to the table you are dressing rather than the other way round.

A runner earns its place down the middle of a dining table, and this one is made for a relaxed, everyday setting rather than a formal one. The oranges and stripe read as summery and unfussy, so it suits a kitchen table as readily as a dining room, and the supplier lists it for indoor or outdoor use, which makes it a sensible choice for a patio table or a garden lunch. The 35cm width leaves room on either side for place settings without crowding the centre. Choose the 180cm length for a smaller table and the 220cm for one that seats more.

Polyester is the reason this runner copes with the outdoors and the wash. The fibre does not absorb water the way cotton does, so spills sit on the surface and the fabric dries quickly, and it holds its printed colour well through repeated laundering. It is machine washable, so a working table runner rather than one you keep for best. The print is described as hand-painted, which gives the oranges their soft, illustrated look rather than a hard graphic edge. The supplier makes coordinating Fruits Oranges placemats in the same design if you want to dress the whole table.

Specification

Material

100% polyester

Design

Hand-painted citrus print on a yellow stripe

Construction

Woven, printed, suitable for indoor or outdoor use

Size

180x35cm to 220x35cm

Washing

Machine washable

Frequently Asked

Can I use this table runner outdoors?

Yes, the supplier lists it for indoor or outdoor use, so it works on a patio or garden table as well as inside.

How do I clean it?

It is machine washable.
