fruits-gingham-polyester-seat-pad-sage
Fruits Gingham Polyester Seat Pad - Sage

Description

This is a square seat pad in a sage-and-white gingham check, scattered with hand-painted lemons and their leaves. The edge runs in a wavy, scalloped line finished with a soft yellow contrast piping, so the outline reads as playful rather than plain. It is made from 100% polyester, printed with the lemon and check design, and measures 40 x 40cm. Two fabric ties are stitched to one edge to hold the pad in place on a chair seat.

These pads are made for kitchen chairs and outdoor dining alike. The supplier describes them as suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings, so they sit as happily on a folding bistro chair on the patio as on a wooden kitchen chair at breakfast. The yellow and green colouring is bright and summery, and works well with painted furniture, natural wood and a relaxed country or garden table. Tie a pair to matching chairs and the lemon print carries the theme across the whole setting.

The fabric is polyester, which the supplier notes as water-repellent, so a spilled drink or a light shower is less of a worry than it would be on an untreated cotton. Polyester also holds its printed colour well and resists creasing, which matters on a pad that spends its life being sat on. The ties fasten with a simple bow to the back of most chair frames, and can be undone to bring the pad indoors. The wiggle edge and contrast piping give the plain gingham a little character, and the lemon motif ties it to the wider Fruits range if you want to build a coordinated look.

Specification

Material

100% Polyester

Design

Hand-painted lemon and gingham check print

Construction

Padded pad with scalloped wiggle edge, contrast piped trim and tie fastenings

Size

40x40cm

Product care

Water-repellent fabric, suitable for indoor and outdoor use

Colour

Sage

Frequently Asked

Can I leave these seat pads outside?

The supplier describes them as suitable for both indoor and outdoor dining and made from a water-repellent fabric, so they cope with patio use and a light shower.

How do the pads attach to a chair?

Each pad has two fabric ties stitched to one edge, which fasten in a simple bow around the back of most chair frames to hold the pad in place.

What size are the seat pads?

Each pad measures 40 x 40cm, a square shape that suits most standard kitchen, dining and folding bistro chair seats.

What material are they made from?

They are made from 100% polyester, which holds its printed colour well, resists creasing and is described by the supplier as water-repellent.

What does the edge look like?

The edge is cut in a wavy scalloped line and finished with a soft yellow contrast piping, which frames the sage gingham and lemon print.
