fruits-gingham-polyester-placemats-sage
Fruits Gingham Polyester Placemats - Sage

Description

This is a set of four woven placemats, each measuring 46 x 36cm, printed with a hand-painted lemon design over a sage green gingham check. The lemons sit in ones and twos across the cloth, some paired, some single, with green leaves trailing off each fruit, and the gingham underneath is a soft green and cream that keeps the whole thing looking fresh rather than busy. They are made from 100% polyester, woven rather than a smooth print base, so the surface has a fine ribbed texture you can see across the mat.

These are made for a kitchen or dining table, and because they are rated for indoor or outdoor use they suit a garden table just as readily as the one indoors. That is the useful part in practice: you can lay them out for an alfresco lunch, wipe up a spill, and not worry about them the way you would with a linen mat. The lemon and gingham pattern leans summery and casual, so they sit best with plain white or cream crockery that lets the print do the talking, and with a green or yellow accent elsewhere on the table if you want to pull the colours through.

Being polyester, they are machine washable and quick to dry, which is what makes a set of four practical for everyday meals rather than saving them for occasions. Polyester holds a printed pattern well and resists creasing, so they go back on the table looking flat without much fuss. The supplier makes a matching Fruits Lemons table runner in the same design, so if you want a coordinated look across the table the runner is the piece to add.

Specification

Material

100% polyester

Design

Hand-painted lemon print on gingham check

Construction

Woven fabric, suitable for indoor or outdoor use

Size

46 x 36cm

Sold as

Set of 4

Washing

Machine washable

Frequently Asked

Can I use these placemats outdoors?

Yes, they are rated for indoor or outdoor use, so they are just as at home on a garden table for lunch as they are on your kitchen or dining table indoors.

How do I clean them?

They are machine washable, which is one of the reasons a set of four works well for everyday use rather than only for occasions when a spill would be a worry.

What are they made from?

They are 100% polyester, woven rather than a smooth base, which gives the surface a fine ribbed texture and helps the mats resist creasing and hold their printed pattern.

What size are they and how many do I get?

Each mat measures 46 x 36cm and they come as a set of four, which covers a table for four with one mat per place setting.

What will they go well with?

The lemon and green gingham print suits plain white or cream crockery, letting the pattern stand out, with a green or yellow accent elsewhere to tie the table together.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0729/8993/3835/files/riva-frulemo_pm1_sag-1-srcbase_3d30d879-d42f-4b68-99bc-54a11e38ff7a.jpg?v=1787207692
