fruits-gingham-polyester-cushion-sage
Fruits Gingham Polyester Cushion - Sage

Description

This is a 45cm square outdoor cushion in a printed lemon design, hand-painted fruit scattered across a soft gingham check. The lemons come with their leaves, dotted at a relaxed pace over a pale green and white check ground, and the whole cover is finished with a wavy scalloped edge and a contrasting piped trim in warm yellow. It is made from 100% polyester, chosen here for outdoor use because the fabric carries a water-resistant coating.

It is built for the garden. Set it on a metal bench, a wooden chair or a rattan seat and it earns its place through the summer, on a patio or by the back door where a cotton cushion would struggle with the odd shower or a damp morning. The lemon-on-gingham print reads fresh and unfussy, so it sits happily alongside plain yellows and greens, or beside a striped cushion if you want to build a seating group. Because polyester holds its colour against sunlight better than many natural fibres, it stays looking bright through a season of use outdoors.

The cover is finished with a scalloped wiggle edge all the way round and a piped border in yellow that frames the check. A zip closure means the cover comes off the pad easily, which matters most when something needs freshening up. Polyester is a hard-wearing fibre that resists stretching and does not absorb water readily, so wipe-downs dry quickly and the cover keeps its shape. Bring it indoors over winter to get the most life from it, and pair it with the wider Fruits Gingham range if you are dressing a bench or a run of garden seating.

Specification

Material

100% Polyester

Design

Printed lemon and gingham check, modern

Construction

Scalloped wiggle edge, contrasting piped trim, zip closure, water-resistant fabric

Size

45 x 45cm

Frequently Asked

Can this cushion stay outside?

It is made from water-resistant polyester intended for outdoor use, so it copes with the odd shower and a damp morning far better than a cotton cushion would.

Does the cover come off?

Yes, it has a zip closure, so the cover lifts off the pad easily whenever you want to freshen it up or store it away.

How big is it?

It measures 45 by 45 centimetres, a standard square size that suits most garden chairs, benches and outdoor seating without overwhelming the seat.

What is the edge finish?

The cover has a scalloped wiggle edge all the way round and a contrasting piped border in yellow that frames the green gingham check.

Will the colour fade in sunlight?

Polyester holds its colour against sunlight better than many natural fibres, so it stays looking bright through a season of outdoor use.
