frosvette-pendant-light-black
Frosvette Pendant Light - Black

Description

The Frosvette is a pendant light pared back to the essentials: a round ceiling rose, a single black cord and a slim cylindrical lampholder, with a steel body in a black finish. It measures 110cm tall overall and the ceiling rose is 12.5cm across, so it sits neatly at the ceiling while the light hangs low into the room. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W, which you choose yourself, as the bulb is not included. With an IP20 rating it belongs indoors in rooms that stay dry, so it is not one for a bathroom or anywhere damp.

Because the design is so simple, the bulb becomes the main feature, and that is where this black pendant earns its place. A large globe filament bulb gives a warm, vintage look, while a smaller bulb keeps things quieter. In a bedroom, a pair hung either side of the bed frees the bedside tables for books and a glass of water. In a living room, one hung over a coffee table gives a focal point without taking floor space. The black finish sits comfortably against white brick, pale plaster or darker walls, and it suits industrial, minimal and modern interiors alike.

Steel is strong and holds its shape well, and here it is finished in black to match the cord and the ceiling rose. There is no switch on the light itself, as it is switched at the wall, so it works from your existing light switch. It runs on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains supply and is a wired fitting, so a qualified electrician should install it. The installation instructions come as a download, and the light weighs 0.648KG packed. Have an E27 bulb rated at 40W or less ready, so the pendant can be lit the day it is fitted.

Specification

Overall Height

110cm

Diameter

12.5cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 40W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

0.648KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can this pendant light go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is meant for indoor rooms that stay dry, so we would keep it out of bathrooms and other damp spaces.

Which bulb does the Frosvette take?

It takes a single E27 bulb with a maximum of 40W.
