fralvessa-smoked-glass-linear-pendant-light-black
Fralvessa Smoked Glass Linear Pendant Light - Black

Description

The Fralvessa is a linear pendant light: three cylindrical smoked glass shades hang on slim black cords from a straight ceiling bar in black steel. It measures 85cm long, 15cm wide and 110cm high overall, so it lights the length of a table rather than a single spot. Each shade is vaporised glass in a black-transparent tint, and each takes an E27 bulb of up to 40W, with the bulbs not included. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room, well away from bathrooms and the outdoors.

A straight run of three lights suits a dining table, a kitchen island or a breakfast bar, where one central pendant tends to leave the ends of the surface in shadow. The smoked glass softens glare while still letting the shape of each bulb remain visible, so a decorative filament bulb earns its place here. Black steel and tinted glass sit comfortably in a loft-style kitchen, a modern dining room or a darker, moodier scheme, and the pared-back palette works beside warm wood, leather and polished concrete alike. For anyone who wants one fitting to anchor the table, this is a tidy answer.

The body and ceiling bar are black steel, and the light has no switch of its own: it is switched at the wall. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, and as a wired-in ceiling light it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions are available as a download. Packed, it weighs 3.787KG, a figure worth knowing before you lift the box. Choose three E27 bulbs of up to 40W each before the fitting day, so the light is ready to use from the very first evening.

Specification

Length

85cm

Width

15cm

Overall Height

110cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black

Shade Material

Glass vaporized

Shade Colour

Black-transparent

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 3 x 40W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

3.787KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Fralvessa pendant go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs in dry indoor rooms such as a dining room, kitchen or living room, and never in a bathroom or anywhere outdoors.

Which bulbs does this pendant take?

Each of the three shades takes an E27 bulb of up to 40W.
