foxtail-artificial-stem-76cm-pink
Foxtail Artificial Stem 76cm - Pink

Description

This is a single artificial foxtail stem in pink, 76cm tall and 25cm across at its widest spread. A slim main stem rises and then branches into several fine sprays, each lined with narrow, needle-like leaves and finished with a soft, bristly flower spike. Those spikes are textured rather than flat, so they add movement and depth as well as colour. The stem is made entirely of polyethylene and weighs 0.062KG. Polyethylene is a light, flexible plastic, which is why the sprays can be bent and set by hand rather than staying fixed.

At 76cm it gives height to a floor vase or a tall vase on a sideboard, console table or mantelpiece, and the 25cm spread keeps it airy rather than bulky. On its own in a narrow vase it draws a quiet, graphic line on a windowsill, a desk or a bedside table. It works hardest as a filler in a mixed arrangement: tuck it among larger artificial blooms and the pink spikes break up rounder flower heads and soften the edges of the bunch. It suits a hallway, landing, living room or bedroom, and it is just as useful for dressing a table for a party, a wedding or a seasonal display.

The maker's care note is short and practical. Before use, the stem needs trimming and its sprays folding into place, so cut it to suit the height of your vase and then ease each spray outwards until the shape looks natural. Handle it gently, as the leaves and flower heads can break, and keep that same light touch when you move or store it. For a fuller look, group several stems together in one vase, or let a single stem stand a little taller than the rest of an arrangement so the pink plumes sit above the other flowers.

Specification

Height

76cm

Diameter

25cm

Material

100% Polyethylene

Colour

Pink

Care

Handle with care to avoid breakage of the leaves/flowerheads.
