foxtail-artificial-stem-73cm-pink
Foxtail Artificial Stem 73cm - Pink

Description

This artificial foxtail stem stands 73cm tall, with a soft pink flower spike that tapers to a fine tip and long, slender leaves that sweep out from low on the stem. At just 3cm across, it reads as a light, upright line rather than a full bloom, which is often exactly what a mixed arrangement needs. It is made from 80% polyethylene, 10% iron and 10% fabric, and at 0.063KG it adds next to nothing to the weight of a vase.

At 73cm it is tall enough for a floor vase, or for a large vase on a sideboard, console table or mantelpiece, where its height gives an arrangement a clear top line. Tuck a few stems among fuller faux flowers to add movement, or gather several into a loose bunch of their own for a hallway, living room or bedroom. Artificial stems do not wilt, so this suits anyone who loves flowers in the home but struggles to keep fresh ones going, as well as a holiday cottage or office where nobody is around to change the water. The pink is soft enough to sit quietly in a neutral room and warm enough to lift a plain shelf.

The maker asks that the stem be handled with care, as the leaves and flowerhead can break, and that it be trimmed and folded into place before use. In practice that means cutting it to the height your vase needs and gently shaping the leaves so they fall naturally. We like to let one or two spikes rise above the rest of a bouquet so the pink tips catch the eye, or stand several together in a tall, narrow vase for a simple, grassy look.

Specification

Height

73cm

Diameter

3cm

Material

80% Polyethylene, 10% Iron, 10% Fabric

Colour

Pink

Care

Handle with care to avoid breakage of the leaves/flowerheads.
