flat-wall-light-with-reading-light-white
Flat Wall Light with Reading Light

Description

The Flat Wall Light with Reading Light puts two lights into one iron fitting. A flat rectangular plate sits on the wall with a bulb behind it, so its glow washes out across the wall around the edges, while a slim arm near the foot of the plate holds an integrated LED reading light. The background light takes one E27 bulb, not included, so you can choose the bulb you like. The reading light is built in and needs no bulb: it gives 260 lumens from 3 watts in a warm white 3000K. We sell it in two finishes, white or black, and in both it is 35cm tall and 20cm wide, standing 12cm out from the wall.

It belongs in the bedroom, beside the bed or on each side of a headboard. The glow from behind the plate gives the room a soft background light, and the reading light gives you light to read by. It suits a reading corner in a living room or a study just as well, and a guest room that needs both lights in one neat fitting. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The maker states it is for indoor use only. It is not dimmable, so plan it for a standard switch rather than a dimmer.

The body is made of iron and comes in white or black. The design is by Josep Novell and Ernest Perera, and it is pared back to a flat plate and one slim arm, so it looks calm and tidy on the wall. It is a mains fitting for a qualified electrician to install. For styling, the white version sits quietly on pale walls and lets the glow do the work, while the black version draws a crisp outline against light plaster or warm timber panelling; a pair, one each side of the bed, gives a balanced look.

Specification

Colour

White & Black

Finish

White & Black

Height

35cm

Width

20cm

Projection

12cm

Light Source

1 x E27 (lamps not included) & Integrated LED Reading Light

LED Power

3W

LED Luminous Flux

260lm

LED Colour Temperature

3000K

LED CRI

80+

Dimmable

No

IP Rating

IP20

Energy Class

F

Downloads

Assembly Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Does the wall light come with a bulb?

The integrated LED reading light is built in and needs no bulb, but the E27 bulb for the background light behind the plate is not included, so you choose that one yourself.

What finishes does it come in?

We sell it in two finishes, white or black, and both versions are the same size: 35cm tall, 20cm wide and 12cm out from the wall.

Is the wall light dimmable?

No. The fitting is not dimmable, so it should go on a standard switch rather than a dimmer switch.

Where can I use it?

It suits bedrooms, beside the bed or either side of a headboard, as well as reading corners in living rooms and studies.
