fintan-dinosaur-cotton-linen-rattle-brown
Fintan Dinosaur Cotton & Linen Rattle - Brown

Description

Fintan is a little triceratops rattle with three horns, a frilled collar printed with leaves and flowers, and stubby arms and legs made for small hands to hold. The outer fabric is a blend of 50% cotton and 50% linen, and the filling is 100% polyester. Linen gives cotton a slightly textured, natural handle, while a polyester filling keeps a soft toy light and squashy, and at 0.029KG this one weighs next to nothing. It measures 6.5cm long, 12cm wide and 19cm tall: small enough to sit in a little fist, yet big enough to find quickly at the bottom of a changing bag.

Fintan is at home in the nursery, sitting on a shelf between play sessions or waiting in a basket of soft toys beside the play mat. Because it is so light, it travels well too, slipping into a changing bag or a pram basket for days out, visits to grandparents and long car journeys. The warm brown colour suits a nursery dressed in natural, muted tones, and it sits just as happily in a brighter scheme. A dinosaur makes a welcome change from the usual bears and bunnies, which is why we think Fintan makes a thoughtful present for a baby shower or a christening, and for families who already love all things prehistoric.

The details are where Fintan wins people over. The eyes are embroidered, the frill is cut from a separate printed fabric that stands up behind the head, and the horns and the tips of the paws are picked out in a contrasting shade, with a short tail finishing the back. Seen from the side, the frill and horns give it a proper dinosaur profile. For a cheerful nursery shelf, sit Fintan upright beside a woven basket and a stack of board books, with the printed frill facing the room.

Specification

Width

12cm

Length

6.5cm

Height

19cm

Material

50% Cotton, 50% Linen, Filling: 100% Polyester

Colour

Brown

Recommended age

From birth

Weight

0.029KG

Frequently Asked

What is the Fintan rattle made of?

The outer fabric is a blend of 50% cotton and 50% linen, and the filling inside is 100% polyester.

How big is the rattle?

It is 19cm tall, 12cm wide and 6.5cm long, and it weighs 0.029KG, so it is small and light enough to carry in a changing bag.

What age is it for?

The maker recommends it from birth.
