filbessa-wooden-pendant-light-900154-black
Filbessa Wooden Pendant Light 900154 - Black

Description

The Filbessa is a wooden pendant light with a shade made of black wooden slats, drawn together into a long, narrow neck that opens out into a rounded, open cage around a single bulb. It hangs from a round black ceiling plate, with a black steel body, and measures 110cm in overall height and 38cm in diameter. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is not included, so the choice of bulb is yours. Its IP20 rating settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room, well away from bathrooms and steam.

Because the cage is open between the slats, the bulb stays on view through the gaps, so a decorative filament bulb is well worth choosing. The black slats read clearly against a pale wall and settle quietly against a darker one, which makes it an easy match for a monochrome living room. Hung over a coffee table, it gives a seating area a clear centre point; over a reading chair beside a bookcase, it makes a cosy corner for an evening with a book. It suits anyone who wants a pendant with real shape and a natural material, without a heavy or fussy look.

The shade is wood and the body is steel, both in black, and the cut edge of each slat shows a fine line of warm brown that gives the black some depth up close. There is no switch on the light itself, as it is switched at the wall, so your existing light switch does the job. As a mains pendant that is wired in, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. Packed, it weighs 1.193KG, so it is easy to lift and unpack. Before you order, check your ceiling height against its 110cm overall height, so it leaves comfortable headroom above your table or seating.

Specification

Overall Height

110cm

Diameter

38cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black

Shade Material

Wood

Shade Colour

Black

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 40W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

1.193KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Filbessa pendant go in a bathroom?

No. It carries an IP20 rating, so it belongs indoors in a dry room, well away from bathrooms, steam and splashing water.

Which bulb does it take?

It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W.
