Above and below it the iron is blackened, with brassy streaks showing through where the surface has worn back and tool marks running round the body.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe collar is narrow against the body, wide enough for a few stems rather than an armful. The vase is for decorative use only and is not to be used with water or fresh flowers, so what goes in it has to be dry. At 21cm it stands on a dining table without blocking the view across it.
