emy-marble-kitchen-roll-holder-beige
Emy Marble Kitchen Roll Holder - Beige

Description

Emy is a kitchen roll holder made from 100% marble: a slim round post rising from a flat round base, the whole piece in beige stone with soft natural veining running through it. It stands 30cm tall on a base 15cm across, so it asks very little of the worktop while keeping a full roll upright and within easy reach. It weighs 1.6KG, which is a good deal for something this slender, and that weight is the point. A heavy stone base is what lets a holder like this stay put when you pull a sheet free with one hand, rather than sliding across the worktop.

Its natural home is the kitchen worktop, close to the sink, where a sheet is so often needed in a hurry. The round base tucks neatly into the corner of a worktop or onto a tray, and because the stone looks finished from every angle, the holder can stand out in the open rather than being hidden away in a cupboard. It works just as well in a utility room, beside the sink there, for the cleaning jobs that get through paper quickly. It suits anyone who likes clear surfaces and would rather keep one solid, good-looking piece on show than something purely functional.

The holder is 100% marble, post and base alike. Marble is a natural stone, so the veining on yours will run its own way and every piece is a little different; that variation is part of the appeal rather than a flaw. Marble is also dense and cool to the touch, which is why a piece like this feels so reassuringly solid when you pick it up. For styling, stand it on a wooden tray beside the sink, where the beige of the stone sits comfortably against the warmth of the wood.

Specification

Height

30cm

Diameter

15cm

Material

100% Marble

Colour

Beige

Weight

1.6KG

Frequently Asked

What is the kitchen roll holder made of?

It is made from 100% marble, post and base alike, in beige stone with natural veining that varies from piece to piece.

How big is it?

It stands 30cm tall and the round base is 15cm across, so it takes up little room on a worktop while holding a full roll upright.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 1.6KG, which gives it real heft for its size, and a heavy stone base is what keeps a holder like this steady as you tear a sheet away.

Does it come with a kitchen roll?

No. You get the marble holder on its own; the kitchen roll and the other styling props shown are not included.

Will the veining on mine be the same as on every other one?

Not exactly.
