elmir-star-iron-advent-candle-holder-gold
Elmir Star Iron Advent Candle Holder - Gold

Description

This is a hanging Advent candle holder in gold iron: a round ring 30cm across, carried on four chains that meet at a single hook, and 55cm tall overall. Four candle cups sit around the ring, and flat angel figures with outspread wings rise from its rim between small star cut-outs, so it reads as Christmas before a single candle is lit. An Advent candle holder is made for four candles, traditionally one lit on each Sunday of Advent, and this one keeps to that count, with a cup for each.

Hung from a ceiling hook or a sturdy beam, it lifts the Advent ring off the table and leaves the surface beneath clear for a runner, a vase or the day's post. It suits a dining table, a kitchen window or a hallway, anywhere the household gathers through December and can see the candles burn down Sunday by Sunday. At 30cm across it sits over a small round table or in a window recess without crowding either, which makes it a good choice for a flat or a cottage where table space is tight, and for anyone who loves the Advent countdown but would rather not give up the middle of the table to it.

It is made entirely of iron, in gold, and weighs 0.576KG, so it is easy to lift down and put away once the season is over. Iron is a strong metal that dislikes damp, so a soft, dry cloth is the right way to dust it, and a dry cupboard is the right place to keep it until next December. The styling props shown are not included. For a quiet look, choose four plain candles in one shade and let the gold angels and stars carry the decoration; for something fuller, set a few wrapped gifts or a bowl of pine cones on the table beneath it.

Specification

Height

55cm

Diameter

30cm

Material

100% Iron

Colour

Gold

Weight

0.576KG

Frequently Asked

What is the Advent candle holder made of?

It is made of 100% iron in gold, with the ring, the four chains and the hook all in the same gold.

How big is it?

It is 30cm across and 55cm tall overall, and it weighs 0.576KG, so it is easy to lift up and hang.

How many candles does it hold?

It has four candle cups around the ring, one for each Sunday of Advent, which is the traditional count for an Advent candle holder.

How does it hang?

Four chains join the ring to a single hook at the top, so you hang it from a ceiling hook or a beam over a table or in a window.

What is the decoration on the ring?

Flat angel figures with outspread wings stand up from the rim, and small star shapes are cut out of the ring between them.

How should I look after it?

Iron dislikes damp, so dust it with a soft, dry cloth and store it somewhere dry between one Advent season and the next.
