edina-recycled-glass-table-lamp-base-clear-small
Edina Small Recycled Glass Table Lamp Base - Clear

Description

The small Edina in clear glass is a bottle with straight sides and a sloping shoulder, 40cm tall and 20.5cm across, drawing in to a short neck at the top. The glass is clear and the surface is hammered, so instead of a flat transparent wall there are shallow facets running over the whole body, each one catching the light at its own angle. A brass collar caps the neck and carries a black lampholder with a shade ring, and a rust coloured fabric cord runs from the base and is visible through the glass.

This is a base only: no shade and no bulb. Clear glass takes up almost no visual room on a crowded surface, which is what makes this the one for a bedside table that already has books and a glass on it. The hammering keeps it from disappearing altogether: lit, the facets pick up the bulb and the base reads as a shape rather than as a gap. At 40cm it is a bedside or sideboard height. It takes an E27 bulb, the cord runs 2.5m, the plug is UK and EU, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.

The glass is recycled and mouth blown into this shape, then hammered, so the facets differ from one base to the next. The collar is brass. The Edina range also holds the same bottle in smoke brown glass. Neither a shade nor a bulb is included.

Specification

Height

40cm

Diameter

20.5cm

Material

Glass

Colour

Clear

Recommended bulb

E27

Cord length

2.5m

Plug type

UK & EU

IP Rating

IP20

Weight

2.36kg

Frequently Asked

Does it come with a shade?

No. It is the base only, with a black lampholder and a shade ring on top.
