dumbo-let-the-adventure-begin-snow-globe-with-gold-stars-white
Dumbo Let the Adventure Begin Snow Globe with Gold Stars - White

Description

This little snow globe holds Dumbo, the baby elephant with the enormous ears, sitting inside a clear round dome on a white base. He is hand painted in soft pale grey, with blush pink inside his ears, a pink ruffled collar and his small yellow hat perched on top. Give the globe a gentle shake and gold stars swirl around him before drifting down to settle at his feet. The white base carries the words 'let the ADVENTURE begin' in raised lettering, framed by pale clouds and tiny gold stars. It stands 10.5cm tall, 7.7cm wide and 7.8cm deep.

We see it as a birth gift, a keepsake to mark a baby's arrival that the family can keep long after the first busy weeks have passed. The words on the base suit the start of a little life beautifully, and it makes a thoughtful gift for a baby up to three years old, whether for the day they arrive or a first visit soon after. At 10.5cm tall it sits happily on a nursery shelf, a chest of drawers or a bookcase, and the soft white, pale grey and pink colouring looks at home in a calm, light nursery. It is a keepsake for grown-ups to shake and enjoy with a little one, rather than a toy, so we would place it somewhere out of reach of small hands.

Dumbo and the base are made from resin and hand painted, with the clear dome holding the stars that move when the globe is turned. To look after it, dust the dome and base with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a slightly damp cloth, and keep it standing upright on a flat, steady surface. For gifting, add a card with the baby's name and date of birth so the snow globe becomes a keepsake that carries their story.

Specification

Material

Polystone

Colour

White

Finish

Handpainted

Height

10.5cm

Width

7.7cm

Depth

7.8cm

Weight

0.476kg

Design

Dumbo, Dumbo

Occasion

Birth

Frequently Asked

How big is the Dumbo snow globe?

It stands 10.5cm tall, 7.7cm wide and 7.8cm deep, small enough to sit neatly on a nursery shelf, chest of drawers or bookcase.

What does the base of the snow globe say?

The white base reads 'let the ADVENTURE begin' in raised lettering, surrounded by pale clouds and small gold stars.

What happens when you shake the snow globe?

A gentle shake sends gold stars swirling around Dumbo inside the clear dome, before they drift down and settle around him again.

Is this snow globe a good gift for a baby?

We think it makes a lovely birth gift and keepsake for a baby up to three years old, best kept on a shelf for grown-ups to enjoy rather than played with as a toy.

What is the snow globe made from and how do I clean it?

Dumbo and the base are hand painted resin.
