An open cage of black wire shaped like a teardrop, the ribs springing from a narrow collar at the top, bowing out round the belly and drawing back in to a copper ring at the base. Nothing is enclosed, so the lamp inside is fully on show and the cage reads as a drawn outline round it. A short cone of dark wood caps the top where the flex enters. The wire is thin and evenly spaced, so the shadow it throws is a pattern of fine curved lines. It is generous in size. It measures 23cm across.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt suits a table, an island or a hallway, hung low enough to be looked at rather than into. Hang it so the bottom of the shade sits about 80cm above the surface, a little higher if people walk beneath it rather than sit under it.
