drilvenne-ceiling-light-dark-bronze
Drilvenne Ceiling Light - Dark Bronze

Description

The Drilvenne is a semi-flush ceiling light that pairs a dark bronze steel body with a brown glass globe. A round ceiling plate and a short stem hold the globe close to the ceiling. The whole glass is dimpled, so it catches the light and scatters it across the surface instead of glowing as one flat ball. It stands 31.5cm tall and is 20cm in diameter, a compact size that sits comfortably in smaller rooms. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, and never in a bathroom or a garden.

Because the globe sits close to the ceiling, this light suits rooms where a full pendant would crowd the space or hang too low: a hallway, a landing, a bedroom or a cosy living room. The warm brown tint of the glass and the dark bronze finish sit naturally with wood, cream walls and earthy colours. Together they give a plain ceiling some character without taking over the room. One on its own works well in a small space, and a pair along a corridor keeps the look consistent from end to end.

The body is steel finished in dark bronze, and the shade is glass, which wipes clean with a soft, dry cloth. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available to download. It weighs 1KG packed. Our practical tip: pick a lamp with an attractive filament, because the dimpled globe keeps the lamp in plain view.

Specification

Height

31.5cm

Diameter

20cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Dark bronze

Shade Material

Glass

Shade Colour

Brown

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Weight (packed)

1KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can this ceiling light go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means indoors and dry, so we keep it to rooms such as hallways, landings, bedrooms and living rooms.

How big is the Drilvenne ceiling light?

It stands 31.5cm tall and is 20cm in diameter, a compact semi-flush size that keeps the glass globe close to the ceiling.

What material is the shade?

The shade is brown glass with a dimpled surface across the whole globe, which breaks up the light and gives the shade texture.

What finish is the body?

The body is steel in a dark bronze finish, covering the round ceiling plate, the short stem and the cap that holds the glass.

How do I clean the glass globe?

Glass wipes clean with a soft, dry cloth, and a gentle wipe of the dark bronze body keeps the whole light looking its best.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 1KG packed, so it is a light, compact fitting with a steel body and a single glass globe.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0729/8993/3835/files/drilvenne-ceiling-light-dark-bronze.jpg?v=1792454863
