drenvenne-led-bathroom-wall-light-black
Drenvenne LED Bathroom Wall Light - Black

Description

The Drenvenne is a slim LED bathroom wall light in black: a long, straight bar with a satin plastic diffuser along its front, held on a neat rectangular mount at its centre. It is 59.5cm long, 8cm high and 6.5cm deep, so it sits close to the wall without crowding a mirror or a shelf. The light source is integrated LED, built into the bar itself, giving 1,350 lumens from 11W at 3000K, a warm white that keeps a bathroom feeling relaxed rather than clinical. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water, so it can go in a bathroom as readily as a hallway.

We would put it above a bathroom mirror or a vanity basin, where one even line of light falls across the face and the sink. As a wired-in mains light it is installed by a qualified electrician, and because of its IP44 rating it suits a bathroom, where a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. The black body sits well with grey or white tiling, terrazzo and black taps, and its clean, rectangular lines suit a modern cloakroom or en suite as much as a main bathroom. The same IP44 rating means it may also live outdoors on a house wall, beside a front or back door, though most buyers will want it where a mirror needs good, even light.

The body is aluminium and steel in black, and the shade is plastic with a satin finish that turns the LEDs into one soft, continuous glow rather than bright points. Aluminium does not rust, which counts for a lot in a steamy room. It runs from 220-240V mains at 50/60Hz, carries energy class E and weighs 0.976KG packed. There is no switch on the light itself and it is not dimmable, so it answers to an ordinary wall switch and gives the same steady light every time.

Specification

Length

59.5cm

Height

8cm

Projection

6.5cm

Body Material

Aluminium, steel

Body Colour

Black

Shade Material

Plastic

Shade Colour

Satin finish

Light Source

LED, integrated

Wattage

11W

Lumens

1,350lm

Colour Temperature

3000K

Dimmable

No

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP44

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Energy Class

E

Weight (packed)

0.976KG

Frequently Asked

Can this LED wall light go in a bathroom?

Yes.
